(hoy) ─────▶ (punto futuro: 2030)
↑
para entonces = acción YA terminada
Ejemplo:
By 2030, I will have finished my degree.
A) Estructura básica
will have + past participle (misma forma para todas las personas)
| Tipo | Estructura | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | Sujeto + will have + V3 | She will have finished the report by Friday. |
| Negativa | Sujeto + will not (won’t) have + V3 | We won’t have completed the project by June. |
| Interrogativa | Will + sujeto + have + V3…? | Will they have arrived by 10 pm? |
|---|---|---|
| Fecha límite (deadline) | By next Monday, I will have submitted the application. |
| Edad / etapa de la vida | By the time I’m 40, I will have travelled to at least 20 countries. |
| Antes de otro evento futuro | By the time you arrive, we will have eaten.
Don’t call her now. She’ll have gone to bed.
It will have finished by now.
3) Progreso acumulado (logros, experiencia)
In two years, I’ll have worked here for a decade.
By 2035, scientists will have made huge advances in medicine.
4) Marcadores típicos y contraste con otros futuros
A) Marcadores de tiempo frecuentes
| Marcador | Uso | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| by + fecha/hora | “para” ese momento (no después de) | By 6 pm, I’ll have finished work. |
| by the time + cláusula | cuando ocurra otra cosa futura | By the time you get home, I’ll have cleaned the house. |
| before | antes de otro evento futuro | I’ll have packed before you arrive. |
| in X years / months | mirando desde ahora a un punto futuro | In five years, I’ll have paid off my loan. |
B) Future Simple vs Future Continuous vs Future Perfect
| Enfoque | Future Simple (will) | Future Continuous | Future Perfect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intención / decisión | I’ll start the report tomorrow. | – | – |
| Acción en progreso en un punto futuro | At 10, I’ll work. (menos natural) | At 10, I’ll be working. | – |
| Acción ya completada antes de un punto futuro | By 10, I’ll finish. (posible pero menos preciso) | By 10, I’ll be finishing. (casi terminando, no 100%) | By 10, I’ll have finished. (100% completado) |
| Suposición sobre algo ya terminado | He’ll finish by now. (raro) | – | He’ll have finished by now. |
Regla rápida: si quieres enfatizar que algo ya estará hecho antes de ese momento, usa will have + V3.
5) Errores comunes con Future Perfect
| Incorrecto | Correcto | Por qué |
|---|---|---|
| *I will has finished by 6.* | I will have finished by 6. | La estructura es will have, no will has. |
| *By 2025, I will finished university.* | By 2025, I will have finished university. | Falta el auxiliar have y el participio. |
| *Will you have to finished the report by Friday?* | Will you have finished the report by Friday? | No se mete to entre have y el participio. |
| *By now, he will finish his homework.* | By now, he will have finished his homework. | Supones que ya lo terminó → Future Perfect. |
| *When you will arrive, we will have eaten.* | When you arrive, we will have eaten. | En cláusulas de tiempo (when, before, after) se usa presente para futuro. |
