Orden básico de adjetivos (A1)
En inglés los adjetivos van antes del sustantivo. En A1 usamos el patrón simple: tamaño → color → sustantivo.
1) Patrón rápido
a / an / the / my / this size (tamaño) color noun (sustantivo)
Estructura: determinante + tamaño + color + sustantivo
- a small red car (un coche rojo pequeño)
- the big black dog (el perro negro grande)
- my long blue dress (mi vestido azul largo)
Los adjetivos en inglés no cambian por género ni número: small cat / small cats.
2) Vocabulario útil (A1)
| Categoría | Adjetivos comunes | Ejemplos |
|---|---|---|
| Tamaño | small, big, large, tiny (muy pequeño), long, short | a big table; a long street |
| Color | red, blue, green, black, white, yellow, brown, pink, gray | a red bike; a black T-shirt |
| Forma (opcional A1) | round, square, thin | a round table (tamaño → color → forma es A2+) |
Orden extendido (referencia): opinión → tamaño → edad → forma → color → origen → material → propósito + noun. En A1 nos quedamos con tamaño–color–sustantivo.
3) Determinantes + adjetivos
Coloca el determinante antes de los adjetivos:
- this small white cat
- my big green bag
- an old blue coat (usa an si el siguiente sonido comienza en vocal)
4) Contrastes y errores comunes
| Incorrecto | Correcto | Por qué |

| *the dog black big* | the big black dog | Adjetivos antes del sustantivo |
