| The latest novel by… Set in…, this film explores… Released in 2024, this language-learning app aims to… |
| The story follows a young woman who… Users can complete short daily lessons that… |
| Evaluación por criterios | Comentar elementos clave: trama, personajes, estilo, diseño, usabilidad, etc., con ejemplos. | One of the film’s main strengths is… On the downside, the interface can be confusing at times. |
| Unlike most superhero movies, this one focuses on… Compared to other apps in this category, it offers… |
| Overall, this book is well worth reading if… Although it has clear strengths, it may not appeal to readers who… |
3) Voz, registro y lenguaje evaluativo
A C1 puedes permitirte una voz más visible, pero siempre controlada: nada de “It was sooo cool”, pero tampoco ultra académico.
| Aspecto | Opciones naturales C1 | Ejemplos |
|---|---|---|
| Expresar opinión | I found…, In my view…, It seems to me that…, The film manages to… | I found the main character surprisingly relatable. In my view, the book tries to cover too many topics at once. |
| Elogiar | highly engaging, thought-provoking, beautifully written, visually stunning | The soundtrack is particularly memorable and adds depth to the story. |
| Criticar | rather predictable, disappointing, slightly confusing, overly simplistic | The ending feels rather rushed and slightly disappointing. |
| Matizar | to some extent, on the whole, for the most part | For the most part, the app is user-friendly, although some menus are hard to find. |
Combinación típica C1:
adverbio + adjetivo evaluativo → surprisingly effective, deeply moving, highly polished.
4) Ejemplo comentado de párrafo (app educativa)
“The app’s main strength lies in its short, game-like lessons, which make it easy to practise for a few minutes a day. The interface is clean and intuitive, and the points system provides just enough motivation to keep users coming back. However, the app tends to focus on isolated sentences rather than real conversations, which means that learners may find it hard to apply what they have learnt in everyday situations.”
- Primera frase: criterio + juicio global (main strength).
- Lenguaje excesivamente coloquial: “it’s super cool”, “the ending sucks”.
I really loved this film, it was amazing and not boring at all.
Mejor C1:
I really enjoyed this film because the pacing is tight and the characters feel convincingly human, even in the most unrealistic situations.
a) The book is super boring and nothing happens.
b) The characters are awesome and the ending is totally crazy.
c) The app is cool but the exercises are kind of lame.
a) The plot is __________ but the characters are __________.
b) The app is __________ for beginners, yet more advanced learners may find it __________.
c) The author offers a __________ portrait of family life that many readers will find __________.

b) First published in 1934, this classic whodunnit still manages to keep readers guessing until the very last page.

2) a) The book is rather slow-paced and very little actually happens in terms of plot.
b) The characters are extremely well developed and the ending is genuinely surprising.
c) The app is appealing, but many of the exercises feel repetitive and not very challenging.
3) (posible) a) The plot is engaging but the characters are underdeveloped.
b) The app is ideal for beginners, yet more advanced learners may find it somewhat limited.
