Contraste: however, nevertheless, conversely, in contrast Concesión: even though, nonetheless, notwithstanding Adición: moreover, furthermore, in addition Resultado: therefore, thus, consequently, as a result Framing: broadly speaking, in essence, from a X perspective Peligro: abusar de “however” y de comas incorrectas

Simple: The study is useful. It has some limitations.
C1: The study is useful; however, it has several limitations.
C1+: The study is useful. Nonetheless, it has several limitations.

2) Contraste y concesión (however, conversely, nevertheless, notwithstanding)

however Contraste general. The results are promising. However, the sample is small.
The task was extremely challenging; nevertheless, they completed it on time.
The evidence is limited; nonetheless, the study is valuable.
Introverts may feel drained by large gatherings; conversely, extroverts often find them energising.
in contrast Señala contraste claro entre dos cosas: datos, grupos, periodos. Sales rose in Europe; in contrast, they fell sharply in Asia.
Notwithstanding these limitations, the findings are significant.
The findings are significant, notwithstanding these limitations.
