1) Mapa rápido de conectores

first / first of all then next after that finally / in the end before that later at last at the beginning / at the end

Finally ≈ “por fin / al final (resultado)”; at the end = “al final de algo” (de la película, del día).

2) Posición y puntuación

Inicio + coma Medio (sin coma) Evita duplicar

Inicio para claridad: First, we arrived. Then, we had dinner.
Medio cuando fluye natural: We then had dinner.
Evita repetir: *And then then…* → Then… / After that…

Instrucciones: First + imperativo, then + imperativo…

First, mix the ingredients. Then, bake for 20 minutes. Finally, serve.

4) Pequeños matices

In the end = resultado final tras un proceso: In the end, we won.
At the end (of) = parte final de algo: At the end of the game, we were tired.
Before/After + that (con conector) o + sustantivo/gerundio en otras lecciones: Before that, we waited.

5) Errores comunes

Incorrecto	Correcto	Por qué
At the end, we decided…	In the end, we decided…	Resultado final → in the end.
First I woke up, after I ate.	First, I woke up. After that, I ate.	Usa conector completo.
Then finally…	Finally, …	Evita duplicar conectores consecutivos.
At last of the day…	At the end of the day…	“At last” = por fin (emoción), no “de”.

6) Mini-práctica

Completa con first / then / after that / finally:

Elige la opción correcta:

Reordena usando conectores:

Traduce al inglés:
“Antes de eso, llamé a mi jefe. Más tarde, envié el informe.”
